Desktop Client

VoiceRite's Desktop Client extends your desktop email and instant messaging and consolidates all of your telephony communications. By making it easier for users to manage their telephone calls and messages, and by helping them to change their greetings and find-me/follow-me settings based on their presence information, the VoiceRite Desktop Client improves employee productivity and mobility by providing a desktop client for collaboration and communications whether in the office or traveling.
The VoiceRite Desktop Client integrates with IBM’s Unified Messaging. This solution can connect multiple brands of TDM or VoIP PBX's in separate locations, to a single, centralized Unified Messaging system. VoiceRite Desktop Client for IBM Unified Messaging allows users to be in control of their real time and stored messages, regardless of where or whether they connect to the internet.

Because the Desktop Client is Eclipse-based, it can share much of the same code with the Notes and Sametime Clients. As a result, the feature set, look and feel are consistent with the Notes and Sametime Clients, making deployment and support easier for mixed client environments. Users can be anywhere in the world (even behind the firewall) and still control and intercept calls made to their office. Inbound calling numbers can be automatically looked up via several databases such as CRM, LDAP and HR systems. The user can then decide the best way to handle the call, such as transferring the caller to a mobile phone or soft phone, play a recorded message, or type a message to be played to the caller using text-to-speech.
